Who we are
This notice explains how Meta Mind Ltd, trading as Meta Mind Lab (“we”, “us”), handles personal information collected through meta-mind-lab.com and brief.meta-mind-lab.com. Meta Mind Ltd is registered in Mauritius and based in Cybercity. We act as the controller for the information described below.
What we collect
Contact form. Your name, email address, your message and the page you sent it from.
Project brief. The details you choose to give about you, your business and your project, and any files you upload.
Emails. If you write to us directly, your email address and the content of your messages.
Website statistics. We use Umami, a privacy-focused analytics tool that we host ourselves. It records pages visited, referring sites, device type and approximate country. It does not use cookies and does not identify you personally.
How we use it
To reply to your enquiry, prepare a proposal and carry out any project we agree with you; to keep records of our correspondence; and to understand, in aggregate, how the website is used so we can improve it. We do not sell your information or use it for advertising, and we do not add you to a mailing list without asking.
Legal basis
We process your information to respond to a request you make and to take steps before entering into a contract with you, and on the basis of our legitimate interest in running and improving our website. This notice is written with the Mauritius Data Protection Act 2017 and, for visitors in the European Union and United Kingdom, the GDPR in mind.
Who we share it with
Messages from the contact form and project brief are delivered to our inbox by Resend, an email delivery service. The website and the brief form run on servers we manage. We share information with other parties only where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to a project are deleted within two years. Information connected with a project is kept for as long as needed for the project and for our legal and accounting obligations. Analytics data is kept in aggregate form.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or object to how we use it. Contact us using the email address below and we will respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to the Data Protection Office in Mauritius or to your local data protection authority.
